Privacy policy
The short version: I collect what I need to answer your request and play your event, I don't sell it to anyone, and you can have it deleted whenever you like.
Who I am
DJ Mark Hawley is me, Mark Hawley, a mobile and club DJ. I'm the data controller for everything on this page. Ring me on 07891 159018 or use the booking form. Both come straight to me.
What I collect
- When you check a date: the date, start time, how long and the venue's postcode. That's used to answer you and isn't stored.
- When you send a request: your name and email, your phone number if you give it, the venue, roughly how many people, and anything you write in the notes.
- If you arrived from a Google ad or a link with a tag on it, which ad or link it was, saved with your request so I can tell which adverts work.
- Your IP address, briefly, so the form can't be flooded by a script. It isn't stored with your request.
No payments happen on this site, so I never see a card number.
Why I'm allowed to hold it
You asked me for a booking, so answering is taking steps at your request before a contract. If the booking goes ahead I keep the same details to play the event and invoice it, and I keep the invoice because HMRC requires it.
Who else sees it
I don't sell your details or pass them on for anyone's marketing. These services run the business:
- Airtable, where your request is stored, alongside the diary that stops a date being sold twice
- Vercel, which hosts this site and runs the form
- Google, whose calendar holds my diary, and, if you came from an ad, Google Ads
- Apple or Google's notification service: a request pings my phone with your name so I know what it is
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies. Your browser keeps a note of which ad or link brought you here for 90 days, on your device only, so a request made on a later visit can be credited to it.
How long I keep it
A request that doesn't turn into a booking is deleted whenever you ask. A booking is kept for six years, because HMRC expects it of the invoice.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold, correct it, have it deleted, or tell me to stop contacting you. Ring me and I'll sort it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
